Dr. Joan C. Monllau

Dr. Joan C. Monllau Heads the Knee unit at Dexeus University Hospital. He Completed studies of medicine at University of Barcelona (UB) Medicine School, and then completed a specialised training in Sports Medicine at the Spanish Soccer Federation (MFE). Dr. Monllau completed his Orthopaedics and Traumatology residency at the Hospital Universitari “Josep Trueta”, then did Observership at Steadman&Hawkins Clinic, Vail (Colorado, USA) in 2006. Winner of 16 Awards, Dr. Monllau professional career spans over 28 years, out of which 17 years heading the Knee Unit at Dexeus Hospital. His other achievements include heading the Spanish Arthroscopy Association (AEA) between 2011 – 2013. He is currently the Vice President of the European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy.
