Dr. Josep Brugada

Dr Josep Brugada is an arrhythmia specialist at Instituto del Corazon Teknon and he is the director of the Pediatric Arrhythmia Unit at Sant Joan Deu Barcelona. In 1992, he and his brothers profiled a disease that causes sudden cardiac death. The disease now bears his name: Brugada syndrome. Dr Brugada is a specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of tachycardia and cardiac arrhythmias through invasive techniques such as radiofrequency ablation, and in the prevention of sudden death through the implantation of pacemakers, defibrillators, and resynchronization devices.
